Sub_Bar LIVE is the platform for showcasing the talents of both deaf and hearing artists who create performances using low frequencies and subwoofers.

  • FrekSix (PT)

    FrekSix, based in Lisbon (Portugal) with influences from Cabo Verde and Angola, is a band composed of six pioneering artists in the execution of music for subfrequencies, using analog synthesizers and sequencers. Their intense and trance-inducing show is unique in the world, not only due to the physicality of their music, but also because of the origin of their inspiration: FreakSix is exclusively composed of deaf individuals who compose with the whole body in mind. They break down not only the barriers of sound and music but also shorten the distance between the artist and the audience, creating waves (30hz - 120hz) that physically embrace each person present in the environment.

  • Atelier Francesco (PT/DE)

    Atelier Francesco, born to a rhythmic blend of Peruvian and Italian heritage in 1986, blossomed early into an electronic music producer, releasing his first vinylat the age of 17.. His journey from a young visionary in Italy to a renowned DJ and producer in Berlin's vibrant beatscape, under the monikers "Martin Patiño" and "Atelier Francesco," marked his creative path in djing and live performances. His live show brought him to play at major music venues such as Brooklyn Mirage (New York, US), Propaganda (Moskow, RU), D-EDGE (Sao Paolo, BR), Watergate (Berlin, DE) and many others. At 33, he birthed the Eufonia Festival, gaining a nomination for Breakthrough of the Year from the Falling Walls Foundation, and few years later he released on of his finest piece: Sub_Bar.

  • Carincur & Joao Pedro Fonseca (PT)

    Carincur and João Pedro Fonseca, pivotal in the transdisciplinary art scene, co-founded Zabra, a prominent music and art house in Lisbon, and Zigurfest, an acclaimed experimental music and art festival in Lamego. Known for merging performance, experimental music, and audiovisual art, Carincur's work has earned international recognition, especially for its seamless integration of electronic and organic elements. Similarly, João has made significant contributions through his collaborations with renowned artists like Olga Roriz and Carlos Avilez in scenography and lighting design. His extensive work in video art, performance, and installation has garnered numerous awards, establishing his reputation in both the Portuguese and international art communities. Together, their expertise in technology and dramaturgy is shaping the future of artistic expression.

  • Vicente Booth

    Vicente Booth, a musician and sound artist from Beja, with connections in Lisbon and Sheffield, has made his mark in the music industry, particularly as a co-founder and guitarist of the instrumental band Mazarin. His work, rooted in jazz ensemble improvisation and composition, has contributed significantly to the band's recognition and creates great values for Sub_Bar ephemeral aurea. Beyond ensemble performance, Vicente has developed a notable solo career in sound design and electronic music production. In his live performances, he combines electronic elements with traditional techniques, utilizing sampling, drum sequencing, and field recordings to create a distinctive sound. Vicente's approach, characterized by the use of guitar, sampler, and FX, is known for its effective blend of calmness and drama, showcasing his versatility as a musician and artist.
